The perfect anti-food waste meal !
Croquettes can literally be made out of anything! Feel fry to play around with the type of ingredients used ! It's so simple and yummy !
All you need to do is to mix up your leftovers. Use your vegetables with riz, quinoa, millet, couscous or even potatoes. Add a slice of cheese and some tomato sauce to make a delicious "arancini." For the non-vegetarians, add your meat or fish leftovers. Just make your creativity shine !
Break an egg in a bowl and whisk it. Add a pinch of salt and pepper as well as a few herbs. Pour your dough in the mixture to form a homogeneous paste. Now shape the dough into separate balls and roll them in breadcrumbs without using too much pressure. If you want to be 100% anti-food waste, you can make your own breadcrumbs with bread leftovers.
You have 2 different possibilities for the cooking:
- The oven: less crusty but more healthy: drizzle the croquettes with oil and place them in the oven for 15 to 20 min at 200°C.
- The fryer: crunchy and tasty: fry them for 3-4 min until they become golden brown.
Success guaranteed ! Enjoy !
